Bigger Map Scale

Hello,

one of the things i loved to change is the size of the map scale bar in the down left corner. It is very small and it is difficult to compare it with distances on the actual maps, it is very vague to say a distance is at a exact length.
If it couldn't be sizeable, could it at least be maybe three times as big in a future version?

Or: where is the size defined, so i can change it myself?
