Here is the full error:

Looks like a problem with your .NET Framework setup.

It was working on all the computers I tested it on a month ago. These computers have been sitting without any changes or installation of new programs. I do not think this is a .NET framework problem.

Can you send the .map file you used? It could be a .NET framework update that broke it, don't know.

Thanks for speedy response.
Attached .map file, though any .map file will cause the error.
and a jpeg of the error message.

Richard

The map file is empty (0 bytes) -- maybe that's the reason for the error?

My most humble apologies, all my fault! download manager was corrupting the .map file, must not have used it before, sorry for wasting your time.

No problem... it's still a check we should have, instead of crashing the app it should say nicely the .map file is invalid

|
|
Hi Cristian,
As far as I understand, before a tile is downloaded gMapMaker checks if it is already in the cache. If so, the saved tile is used. Is it possible to instruct the program to download a tile if it has a later date than the tile in the cache?
Thanks for your help.

On all counts but 1(custom shape of maps) it seems to be better than gmapsmaker. Its OSS so should not be too tough to modify for mgmaps yes? its UI is real nice, and for ppl like me juggleing arnd 5-6 .map files, it might be easier on it than gmapmaker |
Well, I'd like to have mgmaps supported by the mobac application, I'll see if I can discuss with the author. I don't find it easier to use, but it supports more map sources, and more output formats. |
Actually, it would probably be nicer to have gMapMaker capable of using Mobac's tilestorage, which seems a lot more efficient, particulary on diskspace.
any chance of this happenning ?
