I do hope this posting won't wake any sleeping lions but I recently got my SE Satio and MGMaps works brilliantly on that. Ironically, I put the icon for MGMaps right next to the Google Maps icon.
Just hoping SE won't implement something in their next firmware that would make the use of MGM impossible. Having read the previous posts in this thread I now at least know which other mobile device brand to avoid....

I'd like to 2nd this request - latest Google Map versions are still removing this application on my Blackberry.
Thanks!

Any chance someone can post a "MMaps" (renamed) v1.39.21 for Blackberry, so I can install it along with Googlemaps without having Googlemaps remove it?
(I see there is such a renamed version for V1.39.20, however that version has a "u" key that doesn't work)
(I assume there is no way I can make a renamed version myself?)
...Thanks |

if you edit the permissions of google maps it will stop deleting mgmaps
options->applications->googlemaps->edit permissions->interactions->application management (set to deny)
this is how it looked on my storm2 but it will differ depending on what os your running

Horrible Google again: Even the newest Google Maps Version 4.2 for BlackBerry is deleting MGMaps when i installed it and also each time i run this bloody bastard from Google. Unfortunately Google Maps is too good to kick out.
It is quite sure, that this is by intention. At least there is no intention to remove this extreme bug.
But with the Permission Setting mentioned above, it is working, hehe. By the way, in German those are under:
Optionen / Anwendungen / Google Maps / Berechtigungen / Interaktionen (BB-Taste: Erweitern) / Modulveraltung / Ablehnen
