1.41.03 on n95. offline mode

When the hangup key (red) is pressed while a menu is open the application simply quits.
Also if a map is displayed it briefly flashes up the exit confirmation screen and then quits.

I have the setting "confirm on exit" turned on.

Um... doesn't ANY application always quit when you press the red hangup key? As far as I know this happens on all S60 3rd edition phones.

yes most do, but not all. Some just return to the standby screen and leave the app running in the background.

I just assumed you were trapping the exit - henc the "confirm of exit" setting

hmm.. you are right. But it goes standby if no menu is open.
Actually I like this bug gives me a quick way to exit. Laughing

When you press the red hangup key the behavior is generally undefined, it depends on the phone... Some will just kill the application without saving the settings, others will allow it to exit gracefully, others will just have mixed behavior Smile The best way to exit is choose Exit in the Menu, that way you can be sure that settings are saved.

There is a special Nokia manifest param:

Nokia-MIDlet-No-Exit: true

It helps to prevent such behavior on new S60 models...
Google it for more details Wink

Thanks for letting me know, this will be present in all future versions of MGMaps (need to release one soon because the old certificate expires tomorrow).
