Hi,

is it possible to zip, tar, etc. the maps, because the small files use more space on the mediacard instead of one big file? Similar feature as Trekkbuddy;)

Ok, but how? I create the map file on the web but it does not contain such information, only when I download the tiles with the gMapmaker that creates a new .map file that has this tiles_per_file option. In the GmapMaker's GUI the tiles per file option is set to default 1 and it is hidden and I can not modify the value.

If I change the hash size I can modify the tiles size:)

Unfortunatly I have downloaded many hybrib maps with tiles per file =1. Is it possible to put them together (to change the tiles per file to 256) without download it again?

...and also only use 256 tile per only if u have a fast phone, there is a discussion somewhere in this forum about pros and cons of using 256 tile per file option, but cant find it now.
i am currently using 64 tile per file with nokia n82 without any problems.

Thanks:) It is working good with GoogleMaps but for Google HybridMap it is not working. It does not do anything with the satellite images.
